I was kind of surprised. The stuff actually feels current. Not like those random outdated pieces you sometimes see. I picked up a couple things that look like what everyone’s wearing right now, but they’re still easy to style. Cute, simple, very wearable.

"Cute, but didn’t really fit my wardrobe"
From what I remember, the pieces were definitely cute, but once I tried to picture them with the clothes I usually wear day to day, nothing really worked. They just didn’t match my normal everyday closet, so they weren’t very practical for me.

"and trying things on at home was honestly so easy"
and I have to say, being able to try everything on at home made such a difference. I didn’t feel rushed like I usually do in a store, and the box had a few really cute pieces. I just kept the ones that fit me best and sent the rest back, which was super simple. It made shopping feel way less stressful

"Good concept, but the box missed the mark"
I found them while searching for petite clothing and was excited to give it a try. The box wasn’t terrible, there were a couple of cute pieces — but the prices felt high for what I received, and the sizing was all over the place. I like the idea, but for the cost, I expected a better fit and more consistent picks. I’m hoping they’ll offer some kind of credit or make it right because this didn’t really feel worth it as-is.

"Style quiz was honestly easy"
To be fair, I wasn’t expecting much from the style quiz, but it was actually simple. It didn’t take long, and the questions felt reasonable instead of making me fill out a ton of random stuff. I felt like it gave them a fair shot at understanding my size and what I actually like. Overall, it was an easy start and not a hassle at all.

"Return was easy, but I’m a bit less confident now"
I ended up having to return one box because the fit just wasn’t right for me. The return process itself was straightforward, and support got back to me quickly when I had a question. I got my refund without any hassle, which I appreciate. That said, the fit issue did make me a little less trusting about ordering again, even though the service side was handled well.

"Honestly, I was surprised how easy it felt"
I wasn’t expecting much at first, but my stylist was super easy to talk to. I’d mention what I liked or didn’t like, and it actually felt like they were paying attention instead of sending some generic copy-paste reply. I had a couple random sizing questions too, and they got back to me quickly with clear answers. Overall, it was just a really nice experience.

I’ve only tried a couple of pieces so far, so I can’t say this across the board, but the clothes I got actually fit me well without needing much hemming. That almost never happens for me, so I was pleasantly surprised.

"Pretty solid selection, honestly"
I tried shortstorybox and actually liked the mix of stories they had. Some of the categories had way more options than I expected, which was great because I could just pick something based on whatever mood I was in. That said, a few sections felt kind of thin, so it wasn’t perfect or anything. Still, overall I thought the selection was good and I’d probably use it again. I’d give it 4 stars.

The box showed up looking really neat and cute, which I wasn’t expecting to care about that much, but I did. Like, it’s just packaging, but also somehow it made the whole thing feel a bit more special? I opened it and immediately thought, okay, this is fun. Nice little touch.

"I wasn’t totally sure what to…"
I wasn’t totally sure what to expect at first, and I can be kind of picky about little details, so I was mostly just hoping it would be close enough. But after going back and forth a bit and seeing the final result, I realized they had actually paid attention to the stuff I like. It felt very me without me having to over-explain everything.

"Canceling was actually easy"
I was expecting a hassle, but canceling my box online was surprisingly quick. No weird runaround or endless steps, which I appreciate. Whoever runs this at least got the cancelation part right

"Good quality, but I wish it was a bit cheaper"
I’ve ordered a few things from Short Story now, and the clothes feel a lot nicer than I expected. The fabric doesn’t feel thin or cheap, and the stitching on the tops and pants I got has held up well after washing. The fit was good too, which is usually a struggle for me. My only disappointment is that the prices aren’t exactly low, so I do wish it felt a little more affordable. Still, the quality is there, so overall I’d give it 5 stars.

"Pretty decent, but the plans are a bit restrictive"
Overall, I think it’s okay and I’ve had a mostly good experience, but at the same time the plans feel kind of limited. I like having options, yet somehow it still feels hard to pause or switch when I need to. Not a dealbreaker, but it could definitely be more flexible.
